Since our last Wine Circle report we had lots of things happen before we split for the summer with our year coming to an end with a very special Cocktails and Canapes evening at the Mays residence, there were plenty of coloured tongues from the variety of coloured and exotic cocktails, the canapes were delicious, with the stuffed mushrooms and sun-dried tomato pastries being my favourites. The night was enjoyed by all and felt like a true celebration of the year gone and a reminder of what is to come from September onwards.
We closed our doors for the summer and reopened on the 3rd of September, with a social evening where we got together to share stories of our summer adventures. We warmly welcomed 2 new members as well as welcoming back all our current members. Due to holidays attendance has been a little low but we managed to have a beetle drive ably won by Malley Brunskill. Thanks to Kath for looking after the cheese and biscuits in Janice’s absence. The 22nd of October will be Arthur’s Auction, this exciting fundraiser asks you to bring a wrapped gift, then I guess at the content and auction the item, it usual raises a laugh as well money for the wine circle.
We are looking forward to the year starting fully when everyone returns from holiday, so why not come and join us, everyone is welcome, 8pm St Johns Church.
See you all soon
