MOTHERS' UNION NOTES - NOVEMBER 2018

MOTHERS' UNION NOTES - NOVEMBER 2018

We so enjoyed sharing Nick and Elizabeth’s travels at our first October meeting when Elizabeth showed us the slides she had taken at some of the really interesting places they have visited over the year. We also very much enjoyed the cakes that Elizabeth had made which were connected with two of those venues.

The”Wave of Prayer” lunch and service on October 16th was, as always, a happy occasion when we were joined by friends from Cliviger and St. Stephen’s. Many thanks to Nick and Elizabeth, Julia, Mavis and Alice for their help which made this event run so smoothly and enjoyably.

On November  6th there is a change of plan. The speaker arranged for that meeting is unable to come so Barbara  will share with us some of her travel experiences visiting her family. On 13th November we are due to visit The Mechanics to see”Sweet Charity” and so we move forward to Christmas!

Ou Christmas meal together has been moved to Wednesday 5th December in order to avoid a clash with Amanda’s Advent Course which she has organised in her role as our Vision Champion. This is running on Tuesday evenings from November 20th and I do encourage you to come along if you possibly can.

Our A.G.M. will be on January15th 2019 so if you  have any issues you wish to raise please let one of the committee know.

Best wishes

Pam       Branch Leader
